While in college I was asked to design a poster for the Music Department’s Composition Recital. At this recital composition students had their works played by other University students. The professor who asked me to make the poster wanted something visually striking and memorable. He did not like that most of the posters he would see for music recitals were bland and looked like they had been created within five minutes.
